1. Whats the used auto's past?
This is very easy to do in this time of computers and technology, Most car dealers will have the service available and if not you can simply get the VIN and run it through carfax yourself. Be sure that the vehicle has not been in a major incident or requires extensive repairs
2. Whats the smoke look like?
If you see smoke coming from the tail pipe of used auto's you need to walk away from the deal, It is not unusual to see some steam but make sure it is not smoke, of course a diesel engine would be an exception to this rule you will get a small amount of black smoke at start up.
3. How does the car stop.
Safety should be your top concern when buying used auto's, You and your family depend on the car being able to stop when you need it too. Take the car out on a road with no other traffic accelerate to about 35 miles an hour and then apply the brakes firmly enough that you dont lock up the brakes but you come to a rapid stop. If you find there is a vibration in the automobile then you probably have break problems again walk away from the deal. Poorly maintaine breaks probably means the car was not maintained well.
5. How does the Inside of the car Look?
If the interior of the used auto's is really rough and the odometer shows low mileage then you can be sure that either the car had poor maintenance performed on it and it was driven hard and rough or their is odomoter fraud. If the car looks good on the inside then you probably are dealing with a car that has been well taken care of.
